Becky began her career in the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office in 1986 as a part-time co-op student in high school. After graduating high school, she continued her employment with the DA’s office while attending WCJC until she married her high school sweetheart, who was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. While she and her husband were stationed at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California, Becky was a legal secretary at the law office of Hagar & Cotten in Vista, California. In 1991, at the end of her husband’s enlistment, they returned to their hometown of Richmond, Texas. Becky returned to the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office as an administrative secretary in the Intake/Grand Jury Division and later in the Juvenile Division. In 2008 she joined the 240th District Court as Judge Thomas R. Culver, III’s court coordinator. Upon Judge Culver’s retirement in 2015, Becky was hired as the court coordinator by Judge Perwin for the newly created 505th District Court. In December 2020, she retired from Fort Bend County and joined Perwin & Aguirre, PLLC as office manager.
